Cedar Fair Entertainment is eliminating jobs at Schlitterbahn water parks in New Braunfels and Galveston, roughly two months after it bought both properties. Officials with Ohio-based Cedar Fair (NYSE: FUN) confirmed the layoffs without disclosing how many Schlitterbahn employees will be affected. “In order to streamline operations and drive efficiencies across the organization, management has made the difficult decision to eliminate positions at the corporate and park levels at Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort New Braunfels and Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston,” Cedar Fair Executive Vice President Kelley Semmelroth said.
