Financial services giant JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM) continues to expand its nascent branch network across Greater Washington. Since the announcement of its multibillion-dollar move into Greater Washington in April 2018, the bank has applied for 36 branch locations locally, according to filings so far submitted to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The bank has already opened the doors on 14 branches locally and plans to have about 36 to 37 branches open across the larger region by the end of 2019, according to Alfonso Guzman, regional director for the Mid-Atlantic and in charge of the bank’s expansion effort here.
