Whistleblower Raises Questions About Boeing 737 MAX, FAA Safety Inspectors

The U.S. Office of Special Counsel, a federal investigative agency, alleged insufficient safety training for federal aviation safety inspectors. Some of the inspectors are connected with the troubled Boeing (ticker: BA) 737 MAX jet, which has been grounded worldwide since mid-March after two deadly crashes that killed 346 people. The FAA has responded to the original charge, saying all safety inspectors connected with MAX certification were properly trained.
