Pappas Properties and Allen Tate Co. have sold part of their mixed-use development in SouthPark. The co-developers of Sharon Square, near the intersection of Fairview and Sharon roads, recently sold the Solis SouthPark apartments and ground-floor retail space along Ashley Park Lane for about $66.8 million, according to Mecklenburg County real estate records. An entity affiliated with investment management and insurance company Principal Financial Group (NASDAQ: PFG) out of Des Moines, Iowa, purchased the property — separately, it acquired the two-story, 2,400-square-foot Starbucks on Sharon Road for about $3.3 million.
