Orlando Health is setting the foundation for its next hospital with the opening of its newest freestanding ER. The $3.8 billion nonprofit health care system on Sept. 16 opened a two-story, 40,000-square-foot emergency department and three-story, 60,000-square-foot medical pavilion at 380 Rinehart Road in Lake Mary. The opening of the emergency room inside the 153-acre, estimated $750 million mixed-use Lake Mary Wellness & Technology Park comes as Orlando Health plans to start construction on a hospital at the complex next spring.
