The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) is taking the next steps toward making its planned Epcot theme park rehab a reality. The ambitious strategy, outlined at last month’s D23 Expo 2019 in California, will add interactive elements, show space and new rides based on popular Disney films. The largest restoration currently underway is the repurposing of the former Universe of Energy ride building as the entrance for the new “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” coaster.
