Retailer Target Corp said on Tuesday it was planning to hire 130,000 store employees for the holiday season, 10,000 more than last year, as it readies for a crucial shopping period when in-store and online orders surge. The holiday season, which includes Black Friday, Christmas and New Year shopping, marks the busiest time for retailers and records the most sales during the year. “It’s critical we build the right team across our stores and supply chain to deliver an exceptional holiday experience for our guests during the busiest time of the year,” Chief Human Resources Officer Melissa Kremer said.
