An East Memphis office building may soon make way for a new Marriott brand hotel. The owner of 1714 W. Massey Road, located just north of Poplar Avenue, plans to build a five-story hotel and associated structured parking, according to documents filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Office of Planning and Development. The site is bordered on the east and south by International Paper Co.’s headquarters.
