Financial behemoth JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM) has appointed Alfonso Guzman to be its regional director for the Mid-Atlantic — and lead its branch expansion across Greater Washington and Baltimore. The financial firm announced a 70-branch and multibillion-dollar lending expansion in Greater Washington and Baltimore in April 2018, and already has 13 open branches and 700 employees across the region, said JPMorgan executives Peter Scher, chairman of the Mid-Atlantic region and global head of corporate responsibility, and Thasunda Brown Duckett, the CEO of the bank’s consumer banking division, in an Aug. 19 email to local JPMorgan employees.
