Demand leads Allegiant to restart Wichita-Destin flight earlier in 2020

Allegiant Air will restart its service from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower Airport to Destin, Fla., earlier in 2020.  The seasonal service to Destin will resume March 5, according to Allegiant’s website, and reservations are now available through May 10. The carrier has yet to publish its route schedule beyond May.  Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) introduced the Destin service this year, beginning the flights in early June and ending them earlier this month.  The twice-weekly flights resuming in March will operate on Thursdays and Sundays.  “Wichita is an important city for us,” says Allegiant spokesperson Sonya Padgett. “There seems to demand for the Wichita to Destin route — and many of our other routes — when kids are out of school and families are taking vacation.
